Rev. Billy Clifford Clark

	Rev. Billy Clifford Clark, age 71, husband of Bonnie Jean Brown Clark, of 311 Kings Road Anderson, S.C. and Dewy Rose, Ga., died Thursday, August 29, 2002 at the Hospice House in Anderson, S.C.
	Born in Anderson, S.C. on August 25, 1931, he was a graduate of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, Tex. and was pastor of the First Baptist Church, DuQuoin, from 1982 to 1996, Park Hill Baptist Church, Austin, Tex. from 1970 to 1982, West Austin Baptist Church, Austin, Tex. from 1963 to 1970, Reliance Baptist Church, Bryan, Tex. from 1958-1960, Mayfield Baptist Church, Itasca, Tex. from 1954 to 1958.  His revivals, partnership missions/evangelism travels carried him throughout the United States and Canada, Mexico, Panama, Ecuador, Peru, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Japan, Korea, Sweden, Norway and eleven European countries.  He was thrilled at every opportunity to preach the Gospel of our Lord Jesus!  He served as Pastor and Interim Pastor for several churches after his retirement.  He was currently a member of Dewy Rose Baptist Church in Dewy Rose, Ga.
	Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Bonnie Jean Brown Clark of the home; two daughters, Vi Ann Clark and her husband, Robert Clark Sr., of Dewy Rose, Ga. and Mary J. 'Mij' Sheehan and her husband, Jim Sheehan, of DuQuoin; five grandchildren, Robert Clark Jr. of Dewy Rose, Ga., Ryan Sheehan, Megan Sheehan, Margaret Sheehan and Connor Sheehan, all of DuQuoin; mother-in-law, Addie B. Brown of Anderson; sister-in-law, Joyce Clark; a niece, Joy Sturgis and her husband, Rick, and their three children and a nephew, Jay Clark and his wife, Amy, all of Greenville, S.C.
	He was preceded in death by his parents, Barney H. Clark and Annie Ruth Shore Clark and a brother, Jack H. Clark.
	Services were held on Monday, September 2 at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of the McDougald Funeral Home with Reverends Gary Purvis, Bob Marcaurelle and Charles Boling officiating.  Entombment followed in Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum in Anderson, S.C.
	The body was at the McDougald Funeral Home where family received friends from 1 to 3 p.m. on Monday, September 2.
	The family was at the residence, 311 Kings Road, Anderson, S.C.
